The IWW believes that abolition of wage slavery and a worker self managed society, not contracts and labor law are the ultimate goal of the union movement. There is no substitute for a strong, democratic, rank & file controlled union in the workplace. However, we also believe that labor law and contacts can sometimes be used as a means to that end.
