Over five million people at work in the UK regularly do unpaid overtime, giving their employers £23 billion of free work every year. If you're one, why not take some time to reflect on how well (or badly) you're balancing your life?

Almost 40 percent of us are now working more than 50 hours a week. We put in two to three more MONTHS in total hours on the job each year than the Europeans, 2.5 weeks more than even the Japanese. We're now working more than we have since the 1920s. Our already paltry vacations are being stalled, cancelled, and shrunk into non-existence.

WE advocate a world-wide campaign for shorter working hours.

WE support this campaign by creating and supporting Shorter Work Week Action Committees.

WE publicise struggles over working hours and the structure of work, life and time.
