A public memorial for Bruce "Utah" Phillips, who died Friday night, will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Nevada City Little League field in Pioneer Park.

Phillips was a big baseball fan and regularly attended the Little League games in the park.

“He was a fixture at the games,” said Cindy Maple, executive director of Hospitality House and a friend of Phillips.

The memorial is expected to last two hours. The day had been decided by Phillips' family during the weekend but the exact time and place were were not worked out until Tuesday

This fundraiser is being put on by FW Mike Binsky a treasure to the younger members of the branch, Mike has been a member for thirty years and does not know where he would be without the IWW.
