I am a new member. I joined up over the web after reading Staughton Lynd's Living Inside our Hope and meeting people at the Wob conference held here a while back, As an introduction I would like to explain the name I have chosen. Like Staughton, I come out of the SDS in the States and in the 60's had the honour of working in a project in Tennissee run by the Southern Conference Education Fund. At one point things got a little hot and we hid out with and old couple who lived nearby where we were working. While we were with them the husband explained that as far as he knew he was the only PhD to have joined the IWW. I never forgot living and talking with him and his wife. My name Wob Doc I chose in honor of him. But I am ashamed to say that we didn't write anything down and I can't remember his name. If anyone has any ideas as to how I could find out about him I would be very happy to hear from you. my mom has taken ill and it looks like my wife and I will down in the States till Sept. I look forward to meeting you all in the Fall
