A follow-up conference drew 800 mostly young people who called a one day strike and day of action across California for March 4th, 2010.
Say NO TO THE BUDGET CUTS in education, public services, housing, and employment by joining the movement for the March 4th strike.
San Francisco Unified School District is facing a $60-83 million deficit over the next two years, so school administrators are threatening layoffs and increases in class size.
San Francisco is a tough town for workers... You need to make $31.88 / hour (on average) to rent a 2 bedroom apartment. Increasingly, society offers only low pay, no benefit jobs, or incarceration as a future for working class youth.
In both the public and private sectors, workers face more intense conditions at work as layoffs increase the workload for the remaining staff.
NOW IS THE TIME to begin a fightback!
