The retailworker.com web site is on hiatus. The site is offline while new web server accommodations are arranged, and while the site's administrative infrastructure is reorganized. The plan is to come back in a form that addresses both the increasing cost of hosting the site and its main purpose, which is to help workers with organizing. A definite date is not set for the return, and we thank you for your patience while we rebuild.

Suggestions on how the site might be improved would be greatly appreciated.

One of the goals is to have more direct involvement in the administration of the site by IWW members working in the retail industry.

Another may be to add features that take advantage of recent developments in social technology to help workers self-organize in ways beyond trading comments in a forum.

Retail workers who are interested in union organizing should contact the IWW organizing department, become a member, and attend an organizer training.
