An injury to one is an injury to all! With this rallying cry, the Industrial Workers of the World won basic workers' rights like shorter work days, overtime pay and safety measures. This 1979 documentary by Stewart Bird and Deborah Shaffer features interviews with aged veterans of the pitched labor battles of the early 20th century and vintage footage of labor actions and violent government responses to them. The soundtrack also showcases musical numbers, from the Little Red Songbook that earned the IWW the sobriquet, "The Singing Union."
