Paideia: Radical Babysitting -- Twin Cities GMB

Last Thursday of Every Month!

Next Event: 7-10 PM, Thursday, January 25th at the Jack Pine Community Center, 2815 E. Lake St in Minneapolis

Do your kids need a break from your constant crying and demands for attention?

On the last Thursday of every month the Industrial Workers of the World organize children's events from 7 - 10 PM, so hard-working parents can take some time for themselves: go for a walk, go to dinner, or go hang out with other working parents and build some community!  We'll hang out with the children!

We are committed as a union to building an inclusive working class culture, in part through providing responsible babysitting at all union events. Non-union volunteers are encouraged to help out, or to visit with their children to observe our kid’s events in action. All volunteers have signed the “Paideia: Hanging out with children in public” document of the Twin Cities General Membership Branch. Copies of these guidelines will be given to all parents.

Please call the IWW with questions at: (612) 339-1266, or email us at twincities@iww.org.
