Emergency picket to shutdown nonunion Hornblower Yacht's takeover of the Alcatraz ferry!

Alcatraz Cruises, of Hornblower Dining and Yachts has refused to recognize union workers who have worked on the Alcatraz ferry since  its opening as a National Park. Full time jobs with pension and benfits to be replaced with casual part time workers.

Why: Alcatraz cruises, a subsidiary of Hornblower dining and yachts was awarded a 10 year contract to run the Alcatraz ferry.  Hornblower CEO Terry Macrae has refused to hire the majority of Captains, deckhands, ticket collectors and  ticket sellers,  represented by Inland BoatmensUnion-ILWU and the Masters Mates and Pilots-ILA. Full time workers with a living wage and benefits will be replaced by a majority of part time precarious low wage workers.
