In 1997, in support of striking Liverpool dock workers, San Francisco longshore workers refused to handle cargo in the Neptune Jade ship.

This was an act of solidarity with dockworkers in England who were fighting against privatization and the right to abide by a picket line. This forum will discuss why this action was taken.
