Twin Cities General Memberhsip Branch Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Twin Cities General Membership Branch of the IWW – the Industrial Workers of the World - will be held Tuesday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at Wolves Den Coffee Shop, 1201 E. Franklin Ave., Minneapolis. (on Franklin Ave. between Bloomington and Chicago Aves.)
All workers and students, employed or otherwise, are welcome at the monthly meeting of the Twin Cities GMB. The branch is busy building organizing campaigns among retail and education workers, while promoting shop floor democracy and rank-and-file militancy around the Twin Cities. We're hosting a large festival celebrating the culture and history of the Wobblies this summer, as well as events commemorating the 1916 Iron Range strike. We'll talk more about past/future national days of action and follow-up on May Day organizing contacts.
The IWW is a union dedicated to making the world a better place for all by building solidarity and class consciousness across industries and borders. We organize all workers on the job into one union, rather than dividing workers by trade. If you'd like to learn more about the One Big Union or how to solve problems at your job, please call (612) 339-4418 or email twincities@iww.org.
