Oakland Greyhound - Solidarity with Security Workers!

Greyhound security workers are employed by ABC Security. These workers protect the most  prestigious addresses, wealthiest corporations, and important government offices in our community. Yet, they are paid poverty wages, cannot afford health care, receive inadequate training, and have few opportunities for job advancement. Many are working multiple jobs to make ends meet, are going without health care, and are routinely disrespected on the job. They need our continued solidarity.

Let go of the greed!

  • In 2004 ABC Security paid security officers almost $100,000 for unpaid overtime wages at the Oakland Airport, after workers took the company to court.
  • ABC workers at Alameda County buildings are currently suing the company for meal and rest break violations.
  • ABC Security was found to be out of compliance with the Oakland Living Wage Ordinance in 2005.
  • San Francisco assessed ABC Security over $25,000 for violating the Minimum Compensation and Health Care Accountability Ordinances.
  • There are dozens of civil lawsuits against ABC Security from the last 20 years for breach of contract, employment, civil rights, damages, collections and even wrongful death.
