When the UWA started organizing the cleaners at Camden Yards workers were paid $4 an hour. They were fed out of trash cans and were subject to many other indignities and human rights violations. Camden Yards is owned by the public and used for private gain. So not only are the cleaners being exploited for profit, but they are doing this while working on behalf of the public’s stadium.
