The IWW
was red-baited and nearly crushed
during the "Great Red Scare" of 1917-19, but lives on today with renewed
vigor and relevance.
It was Wobbly organizers like Joe HIll who brought to the workers the
tools of
Direct
Action, Sabotage,
as well as songs and art from the
"Little Red Songbook", and our newspaper, the Industrial Worker.
Elizabeth
Gurley Flynn was one of the IWW's many organizers and speakers in
the early part of this century. Here is what she had to say about
Sabotage, and here
is an old photo of her
saying it!
