“Workers without borders, united in struggle”
We need mass action to defend our jobs, our unions and our families! Pass the Employee Free Choice Act NOW!For a living wage for all!Stop the TWIC!Stop the attacks against Unions!Stop the Raids, Amnesty for all!
This May Day 2009 millions of workers in the US are under attack from layoffs and wage cuts to union busting tactics by bosses who want a union-free environment. Working people are under assault. Even the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) which all the unions are supporting is threatened with being defeated with Democratic Senator Feinstein saying it would hurt the economy. May Day which started in the US needs to be commemorated by all working people including those workers who have lost their homes and their healthcare.
Bring your union placards and banners.

The Depression: Workers History and a Program for Today - A Panel Discussion
California workers are under attack. Schwarzenegger has announced plans to cut the wages and benefits of tens of thousands of public workers as the first stage of a general attack on education, housing, health care and social services for Californians.
All too frequently, here in California, the Democratic Party have agreed to the cut-backs, dragging our union leadership along with them, and impeding our ability to fight back and defend our unions, and our livelihood. Join rank and file unionists from many unions inside the AFL-CIO and outside, when we discuss and plan to to go on the offensive to defend our unions, our rights and our lives. All workers are welcome to participate.

The Labor movement which has given Democratic senator Feinstein millions of campaign contributions and supported her every election since she became Senator have now been told by her that the Employee Free Choice Act is bad since it would “drive up the operating costs of business”.
She and her stock manipulator and union busting husband Richard Blum should know. Blum who is also chair of the UC Board of Regents is involved in cutting wages of UC workers and privatizing the state institution so only the rich can attend.
It is time that the people of San Francisco and the country be educated about the 12,000 workers who are fired every year for trying to organize a union and this hearing will be held at her $16 million dollar mansion. Please bring your banners and signs to let Feinstein know about the real costs of illegal firings for union activity and why she is more interested in protecting the profits of the corporations than the human and democrat rights of workers.
