Hey there Fellow Workers -
,br> I've been invited to lead three tours of western Ireland in 2008. Enchanted Way Tours is very hip to my activist roots, as well as the inclinations of my fans. I'm hoping to introduce my groups to the most breathtaking aspects of Irish history and people's struggles in Ireland (as well as the most breathtaking scenery and music). We'll meet Irish activists as well.

The tours take place June 10-19, August 15-24, and September 30-October 9th

Check out this page for more information on this unique and affordable way to the 'best of the west.' For the OBU Anne Feeney
Start: 7:00 pm
End: 10:00 pm
WHERE
Bluestockings. 172 Allen Street between Stanton and Rivington in the Lower East Side. Take the F train to 2nd Ave. or the JMZ to Essex/Delancey Street.

WHEN
Friday, January 18, 2008 at 7:00 PM.

WHO AND WHAT:
During the 1910s and 1920s, most unions, like most institutions, excluded blacks or segregated them, but the Philadelphia waterfront was home to one of the strongest interracial, multiethnic unions ever seen in the history of the United States. However, the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) was ideologically committed to racial equality. More than any other IWW affiliate, however, Local 8 worked to become a progressive, interracial union.
