revolutionary unionism

he unity of labor, economic and political, upon the basis of the class struggle, is at this time the supreme need of the working class. The prevailing lack of unity implies lack of class consciousness; that is to say, enlightened self-interest; and this can, must and will be overcome by revolutionary education and organization. Experience, long, painful and dearly bought, has taught some of us that craft division is fatal to class unity. To accomplish its mission the working class must be united. They must act together; they must assert their combined power, and when they do this upon the basis of the class struggle, then and then only will they break the fetters of wage slavery.

THIS IS A TEST OF THE EMERGANCY BROADCAST SYSTEM

The International Solidarity Commission (ISC) recognizes that workers international solidarity, human rights and workers dignity transcend national boarders. Free workers unions and other social, religious, and cultural institutions created by people independent of state intervention or influence are the basic foundation upon which a free and non-exploitative society can be built.

In furthering the goal of building a society based on workers' solidarity, direct action, and workers' democratic self-management, the ISC has been supporting the creation of ties to the developing self-managed/non-state aligned autonomous organizations and projects in Cuba.

Catastophe Aid and Solidarity Fund for General Freeters Union in Japan‏

Given the vast destruction wrought by the earthquake and tsunami on 11 March 2011 and given the threat of a nuclear disaster caused by the destroyed nuclear power plant in Fukushima I, the FAU-IWA launched a solidarity and aid fund for precarious workers in Japan - the "Freeters Solidarity Fund". As an anarcho-syndicalist grassroots trade union, our first concern is the many precarious workers (Freeters), who were excluded even before the disaster, often forced into appalling working and living conditions. It calls for donations for the relief and solidarity fund whose resources are to be used in close consultation with the "Freeters Zenpan Roso," a self-organized group of precarious workers in Japan.

Donations, can be sent to the following account:

FAU, FAU,

Konto 96152201,

Postbank Hamburg (BLZ 200100 20) under the codeword "Freeters".
