“Six Nations and solidarity activists resist Olympic theft of Indigenous land,
ecological destruction, and attacks on the poor” ---- Toronto, Ontario – Moments
ago, a group of activists occupied Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway’s train tracks
by locking themselves down to the tracks and hanging banners off of the rail
overpass on highway 27 near Elder Mills. The protest was organized in solidarity
with the Olympics Resistance Network (ORN) and their call to disrupt CP’s
“Spirit Train” that is traveling across Canada. Directions to the blockade site
can be found at the bottom of this release. ---- “We are here today to show the
world what the Olympics really stands for; capitalist greed and colonialist

The weekend of Friday August 15th through August 17th marked the renewal of a
specifically anarchist presence among people of color in the Northwest. The
gathering took place in Portland, Oregon over a three-day period. Around twenty
people of color from all over the region attended the gathering coming from as
far away as Eugene and Bellingham. Olympia, Seattle and Portland were also
represented at the event. The focus of the weekend was to define what an APOC
(Anarchist People of Color) organization looks like, specifically in the context
of the Northwest, and also to define what it means to be part of an APOC identity.

As many of you have heard, three SDS members ( Jeremy Miller of UNC-Asheville,
and Christine Jackson and Alyse Deller of Tuscaloosa) and Jason Hurd, president
of the Asheville chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW) were arrested
last March aer a mock-raid at the University of Alabama. Hurd was invited down
by our chapter to speak about his experiences in occupied Iraq. To advertise for
the talk that was scheduled for that evening, our chapter did guerrilla theater
in the Student Center, which was meant to dramatize the effects of the U.S.
Occupation on the Iraqi people. e "soldiers" wore Hurd's which are old
military-issued clothes, the "Iraqi civilians" wore kaffiyehs*. e demonstration

MSU professor feels philosophy critical subject. ---- One of Jun’s primary
research interests is anarchism in contemporary political philosophy, the
subject on which he wrote his dissertation. ---- In a world that revolves around
math, science and business, philosophy remains a critical academic subject. “In
my opinion,” said newly hired Midwestern State University philosophy professor
Nathan Jun, “the major problem facing this country right now is not economic or
political or moral, it’s intellectual. ---- “A lot of people don’t think, and I
think it’s because they don’t know how. And sadly, a lot of those people
actually sort of have a bombastic pride about the fact that they don’t think and

Autonomous Action(Adakiprus) and one from some guys of Critical mass. A print
was given out(in Greek). A bike ride then happened in Nicosia streets with
highlights like the entering into McDonalds’ Drive through while shouting

ander zich aansluit bij hun People Before Profit creatie. Iedere paar jaar zien

communistische soefi rebellie - waar 30 mensen aanwezig waren, allemaal bedankt

"Funk the War! Yes, we can! Disco beats are back again!" ---- ON MARCH 19TH'S
UNPRECEDENTED DAY OF MASS DIRECT ACTION IN WASHINGTON DC AGAINST the occupation
of Iraq, the core of the largest and most militant action - among a whole field
of radical and brave departures from the anti-war norm - was a red wagon, a car
battery, an mp3 player, and a 300 watt speaker. And a guy in a polar bear
costume. And women in fairy wings. And glitter. And paint balloons. And 600 kids
from all over the US roving through the streets of DC, blocking traffic at will,
dancing into war-profiteer's offices, mussing up the facade of a military
recruiting station (twice), and locking down in intersections in complete

On the 21/03/08 the Anti-Authoritarian Autonomous Action (Ada-kiprus), took part
in an event for the opening of Ledra street border which has been a symbol of
separation between Greek speaking Cypriots and Turkish speaking Cypriots when
the UN drew a line with a green pencil. A banner was brought that wrote "No
Borders No Nations No Armies". The police at first tried to stop us putting it
up but the people complained and the banner was set up on the left side of the
event. Small cardboard banners where put up with slogans like "here is Berlin",
"Our only nation is all of earth", "all governments are fake-governments" and
"We want Ekmek Kateifi(Turkish cake)". Also, fliers where given out which wrote:

The struggle this week was "colored" with the olive picking season. Israelis of
the wider coalition of opponents of the occupation which include the anarchists
against the wall initiative were invited by villages who were usually harassed
by Israeli state forces and neighboring colonialist settlers. In Bil'in,
soldiers objected to the combining of the weekly demonstration against the
separation fence with picking olive on the other side of the fence. In Ni'ilin,
a big crowd of Israelis and Palestinians faced the regular harassment in spite
of previous permit. In Um Salmuna, after the usual Friday demonstration the AAtW
contingent joined the struggle in Beit Umar. Saturday, olive picking at Asira

NI’LIN, WEST BANK // Some scrambled up the hill and out of range, eyes tearing,
noses running, skin smarting. Others braved the soldiers and broke across the
dirt track marking the route of what will become Israel’s separation barrier and
to the olive fields below. Three were detained and two needed treatment for tear
gas inhalation. The Israeli army may claim to have devised a plan to ensure the
peace during the olive harvest in the occupied West Bank, but in Ni’lin, on

"We need each other. Discouraging words, belittling other girls in front of
boys, laughing looks . . . have no place here. Dialogue does. Let's make girl
love real, okay?"- Kathleen Hanna ---- TO MAKE GIRL LOVE REAL, WE NEED TO GET
OVER GIRL HATE. CATTINESS AND bitchy attitudes toward other women are an
everyday experience of many American women, and for some reason it is rarely
questioned or thought of as a problem. ---- Our whole lives, the society and
culture we live in have taught us that it is acceptable for women to hate each
other. is is really convenient for the patriarchal men that run the system we
live in, since it is one more thing that allows them to divert our attention

Organise!*, WSM*, trade unions and various political activists picketed a Subway
restaurant in Belfast today in support of sacked Polish worker Natalia
Szymanska. The protest at the Subway restaurant on Great Victoria Street in
central Belfast was, despite the poor weather, attended by around 60-70 people,
during what should have been the fast-food outlet's busy lunch-hour, all showing
their solidarity with Natalia. Passers-by and customers were informed of the
nature of the protest and urged not to support Subway until Natalia was
reinstated and reimbursed for the earnings lost as a result of her sacking.
Natalia was sacked while 5 months pregnant following a spurious claim that she
