Hell. I might as well post something here:

Wednesday October 19, 6PM

UM - Ann Arbor Special Collections Library - Labadie Collection

Soapboxers & Saboteurs: 100 Years of Wobbly Solidarity

Julie Herrada has put together a very comprehensive collection of IWW materials and various paraphernalia. FW Anne Feeney will sing; Evan Greer will probably be there as well, I believe. Joyce Kornbluh will reflect on the history of the IWW. Wobbly Kitchen and other FWs will bring food.

Thursday October 20, 4:45-6:00PM

Wayne State University - Walter P. Reuther Library IWW exhibit

Yet another excellent IWW exhibit. GST Alexis Buss is set to make a few remarks, and I believe FW Bekken will be present as well. I hear they really went all-out for this one. Many of us even received invitations in the mail!

Friday October 21, 7:30PM

Anne Feeney and other folk musicians at the Scarab Club (217 East Farnsworth, behind the DIA).

The 15th Annual Bernie Firestone memorial tribute. It's free.

Saturday October 22 5:30PM

UAW Local 174 - 29841 Van Born, Romulus

From FW Abbott's minutes: "The workers have been locked out since May; some have been called back, some have been called back but refused. Dinner is at 5:30. Get there whenever you can. FW Feeney will be performing here as well."

Sunday, October 23 3PM

UAW Local 174

Again, from the minutes: "Dinner is scheduled at 3. You can take part in the job action, or you can take part in the dinner, or maybe in a little of both. Jim R. says 1-1:30 is a good time to get there to help out in the kitchen. This is another event that we will be able to table at."

The action here will be taking place at Metro Airport, but meet at the union hall. This is in support of the striking Northwest Airlines workers.

That's all for now.

Detroit FW,

The Boston GMB is looking for case studies on where the I.W.W was successful, and not so successful. If you would have any that would be able to be mailed or emailed to the Boston GMB that would be greatyly appreciated.
